For those of you who don't know, bedtime at the Boston home is nothing to look forward to. When Lily was born we made the terrible mistake of letting her sleep in bed with us. We have made several attempts to reverse our mistake and there was a brief time that she actually slept in her room in the townhouse. But, for some reason she reverted back and wants to sleep with us all the time. I wouldn't mind it so much, except for the fact that she wants to eat. I feel a lot like a Wendy's drive-thru and Lily wants Junior Bacon Cheeseburgers all night, every night. So, Tuesday night I decided enough was enough. Lily is a big girl and she needs to learn to sleep in her own crib, in her own room. We moved Lily's crib out of our room and into the TV room. I purchased a big box of earplugs last night and we were ready to go. We put Lily down to bed and as usual, she slept great for about three hours. And then her craving for my Junior Bacon Cheeseburgers hit and she cried for two hours straight. I hate it!! It makes me feel like I am abandoning my baby! But, hopefully she'll get the hang of this soon. Because everyone agrees that both of us really need a good night's sleep!!!
