Deep thoughts from a three year old...

Like most kids her age, Lily has started to say all sorts of funny things. So far, I haven't done a great job at sharing any on this blog, but I do keep a daily journal to remember all of them. Since I am trying to keep this blog updated a little more often, I am going to start to throw a couple in every once in a while. Earlier tonight I sat down to watch American Idol. I had just finished making dinner with both kids clinging to my legs. All I wanted was a moment to myself. I got all cuddled up in a blanket on the couch when Lily came up and asked me if she could come snuggle. So, I let her until Owen came and it turned into an all out war for lap space. I put them both on the floor and calmly explained to Lily that I have a personal space bubble around me and sometimes I don't want other people in my bubble. She seemed to understand and went and sat down further down the couch. A couple minutes later she was sitting right next to me again and she started poking my nose. As she was poking my nose over and over she said, "Mommy I'm popping your bubble. I don't want you to be in a bubble anymore." And then when Todd went to put her to bed she climbed up on my lap to give me a hug. She jumped off quickly and said,"I have to get off because you have a bubble. All you've got to do is pop the bubble with your finger! And then you can come out and snuggle with me." I guess being a mommy means that I am not allowed to have a personal space bubble anymore!
For those of you who are following the case of the missing eyebrow, here's a quick update...we have no new leads. Lily adamantly denies any involvement, although we have not completely ruled her out as a suspect. And the pictures from yesterday do not really do the eyebrow justice. Here is a better picture that shows the extent of the damage...
I really hope it grows back!
