When Barnyard Buddies Attack...

I had to run an errand up in Sandy this morning and I thought it would be fun to swing by Gardner Village to check out their petting zoo. Lily really likes farm animals, but sometimes she is really apprehensive around them. I knew that she would either love the petting zoo idea or she would totally hate it. Luckily, she loved it! We started out by taking a ride on a pony. Lily has been on these types of things more times than I can count, but she still insists on holding on to my hand. I don't really mind, but I always end up wearing my flip flops and so I get horse manure all over my toes. After the pony ride, we went into the petting zoo. It wasn't very big, but there were plenty of animals roaming around. There were lots and lots of goats, a big sheep and a little sheep, some rabbits, a donkey, a couple of chickens, a few really fat piggies, and a dog.

Lily was wandering around touching all of the animals and "talking" to them by making animal noises. I started taking a few pictures of Lily and I turned my back to Owen for a second. When I turned back around Owen was surrounded by six goats. One had my purse in his mouth, one was up on his hind legs with his hooves on the stroller, another was chewing on a strap, two little babies were working on Owen's shoes, and Owen had another goat by the ears. It was funny to see him surrounded by goats! I would've taken a picture, but I was worried that they would scare him. A few minutes later, I was taking more pictures of Lily and I looked down to see this...

The stupid goat was climbing into Owen's stroller!! It is kind of hard to see from this angle, but both of his hooves are in the stroller on Owen's back. It's a good thing Owen didn't mind all of the attention from the goats because he sure did get a lot of it! The funniest moment of the morning was when I tried to get a picture of Lily and Owen by the sheep. I put them next to the sheep and stepped back to take the picture. I was playing with the camera for a second and when I looked up Lily was climbing onto the sheep! I took this picture as I was saying, "Lily, don't climb on the....". I have never seen a sheep move so fast! The sheep jumped up on his feet and bolted off! Lily went flying about five feet in the air and then landed right on her butt! I wish that I would've taken a picture of that!! She wasn't hurt, just a little shaken up! I made her apologize to the sheep for scaring the crap out of him. I hope she learned her lesson....real sheep aren't as nice as the ones on the Wonder Pets!
