The day after Lily learned to climb out of her crib, we went shopping for her "big girl bed". We were in a bit of a hurry to get her in a bed because Owen is quickly outgrowing his pack and play and is in desperate need of a crib. We went to a couple different furniture stores to compare prices, but it didn’t take us too long to find what we were looking for. Lily tested each and every mattress by jumping up and down on them to make sure that it was up to her standards. Luckily, the mattress fit in the back of the mini-van so we were able to get it home ourselves. Lily helped me take apart the crib and move it into Owen’s room. I bought Lily’s bedding shortly after she was born, so she helped me get it out of storage and wash everything. After we put the bed all together, Lily broke it in by jumping on it. I was a little worried about putting her to sleep that night, but things went great! Our only little problem came when she figured out that she could just walk out of her room whenever she felt like it. So, we had to put the lock on her door and things have gone great since then. I am glad that the transition went so smoothly and I am so proud of my big girl!
