The Annual Hegerhorst Family Easter Basket Hunt...

My family has a really fun Easter tradition that we all look forward to every year. My dad makes up an elaborate hunt for our Easter baskets. This year was a little different than previous years, but it was just as fun. We started off at my parent’s house. One of the big changes was that we were all on the same team. Our first clue was “Moroni is on top and math is the key”. Below that clue, there were a bunch of matrixes. We spent forever trying to figure out the matrixes. We finally had to call my dad for a little hint. He told us that we need to go to the second location before we could solve the rest of the clue. We all hopped in the cars and headed off to the American Fork Temple. The matrixes helped us solve a clue from the words on the side on the temple. Our next stop was the American Fork Amphitheatre. At the amphitheatre, we had to use GPS coordinates to find a series of clues hidden all around the park. When we rounded up all the clues, we put them together and figured out the next clue was at the American Fork Cemetery. That was a fun one because we got to see some of our ancestor’s graves. We had to use some of the headstones to get specific letters. The letters spelled out CafĂ© Rio. So, instead of the usual Easter baskets, we all got burritos and salads. It was a fun little change to have dinner instead of candy! Thanks for the fun adventure Mom and Dad!
