Lily's Crib...

It was a gray, rainy day outside today. I don't know why, but when it rains I want to drink coffee and listen to jazz music. Since I don't drink coffee, I was content to listen to Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald while I cleaned the house and worked on the laundry. It has been slow work due to the fact that Owen is sick and Lily is just being Lily. I went to put her down for a nap this afternoon and she wouldn't lay down until all of her "friends" were in the crib with her. While I was gathering the group of stuffed animals, I started thinking about how ridiculous her collection has become. I am totally fine with her sleeping with one, maybe two, little friends. But, eight?! Does she really need eight friends to keep her company? It's funny how upset she gets if one of them is missing. I can't even count how many times I have had to search the house for "blue baby" before Lily would go to sleep. But, at least I don't have to worry about her getting lonely. Here is a picture of Lily's peeps: (top row: ABC, Tugs, Cubby Bear, Cheer Bear, Puppy bottom row: Blue Baby, Pink Baby, and Dolphin) (not pictured: Other Puppy, who tragically disappeared in the garbage after Lily put poop on him). Usually when I go in to get Lily after her nap I find her jumping up and down in her crib.

That wasn't the case today because Lily learned how to do this little trick....
