Halloween is one of my favorite holidays! I love getting the kids all dressed up and going trick-or-treating. This year Lily was a love bug and Owen was a caterpillar. We had Grandma Boston and Grandpa and Grandma Hegerhorst come over. I made chili for dinner and then it was off to trick-or-treat. Lily can actually say "Trick-or-treat" very well, but she took a little coaxing every time. She has started to be really shy around strangers. At most of the houses I had to carry her. As long as my little love bug was in my arms, she would do just great. At every house she would knock on the door, say "Trick-or-Treat", pick out her own candy (usually Crunch bars!), say "Thank you!" (she's learning her manners!), and then she would wave good bye. When we were safely away from the door she would get down and run to the next house. Owen slept just like a bug in a rug!! Now we just have to figure out what to do with all of the candy we have around the house now...
