This weekend our city had their little city celebration. Had it not been 100 degrees outside yesterday, Lily and I would have gone to the park to check out all of the fun activities that they had going on. But, I am getting bigger and lazier every day now! So, we stayed home in the air conditioned house. My family came up to join us for the fireworks and the last part of the Peter Breinholt concert. Last year, Lily was a little too young to understand the concept of fireworks. So, this was her first experience with them. We tried to get her ready by telling her there was going to be some boom, booms.
Did Lily like the fireworks? You be the judge...
After quietly sobbing for several minutes, Lily began to call the fireworks "Happies". She watched them in awe after that. All day long today (including several times during sacrament meeting) Lily has been yelling.."Happies Happies..Boom..BOOM!".
