I FINALLY got my birthday present today...a new lens for my camera! I have been trying to find it online for weeks now and everywhere has been out of stock. Last week I called a photography store in Salt Lake and they told me there was a shipment coming in this week. I called this morning and they had them in. So, I woke Lily up from her nap a little early and we headed up to get my new lens. I seriously felt like a little kid at Christmas. I came home, tore open the box, put the lens on my camera, and took Lily to the park to play with my new toy. I am in love with it!! Everything is so sharp!! Lily had a great time at the park. She learned how to climb up the stairs to the slide and went down all by herself. She kinda had to since her mama was too busy taking her picture to help! We stayed for almost an hour and by the time we left Lily's little nose was so red from the cold. On the way home from the park I discovered one of Lily's completely irrational fears...tumbleweeds. She was paralyzed by them! It was really funny, but I felt so bad for laughing. She would be running down the sidewalk, happy and smiling, and as soon as she spotted a tumbleweed she would freeze and start making these weird, fake crying noises. She absolutely refused to move until I came back and picked her up. Once we made it past the tumbleweed, she would check over her shoulder just to make sure that it wasn't following us. I really hope she grows out of this fear because there are a million tumbleweeds out here!
