My family has a very interesting Easter tradition that has evolved throughout the years. When we were younger, my dad started hiding our Easter baskets and made clues for us to follow to find them. As we grew up, the clues got more and more difficult. We have all really enjoyed the tradition, but there are only so many clues that can be done in my parents house. So, we have started to expand the hunt. Now, we have to drive to the clues. Yesterday, we all met at my parents house and divided up into two teams. Our team consisted of me, Todd, Krista, and Kellie. Our first clue was one of Kellie's senior pictures. With this clue, we were suppose to go to the spot where the picture was taken. Kellie found the first clue quickly and we were on our way. The second clue was an ISBN#. I figured that it meant a particular book. So, we drove to the Orem Public Library and began to search for the book. We found our next clue inside a Nancy Drew book in the children's section. The third clue was a little more challenging. If you have seen the movie "National Treasure", you will understand this clue. We had a series of sets of numbers. We had to go through the book and find the page number, the line number, and the letter to form the next clue. The fourth clue told us to ask someone about a loan and the Harmons grocery store. We headed over there and recieved our next clue, along with a $5 bill for each of us. The fifth clue told us to find the great, grand patriarch. My grandpa is a patriarch, so we knew right where to go. When we arrived at my grandparents house we recieved a GPS and a set of coordinates. We had to drive around until we got close to the coordinates and then we had to get out and search for the clue. Our coordinates were up Provo Canyon. We figured out the general area pretty quickly, but finding the exact location took a little while. Todd finally found the coordinates, but Krista ended up finding the final clue. Our final clue told us to go to my parents next door neighbors house to receive our Easter baskets. There was only one catch..we had to sing to get them. We took Lily over there with us and sang them a lovely version of "Twinkle, twinkle little star" and they handed over our baskets. If you know my dad, you will completely understand this tradition. He really enjoys making up these little hunts for us and all of us really enjoy doing them!

After the Easter basket hunt, we all met back at my parents house for the traditional Easter egg hunt. This was Lily's first real hunt and she actually understood what was going on. She even found a few eggs that Todd and I couldn't see. It was really fun to watch her!

After the egg hunt, Grandma and Lily took on Aunt Krista is a game of ping pong. I think Lily is a natural!! I loved her little face every time that she hit the ball! She was so excited!

Oh, I just love Lily's pigtails and ecstatic face in that last picture! That hunt sounds so fun! And that first picture wouldn't be complete without the Big Gulp!
Happy Easter!
That is such a huge easter egg hunting project I can't even imagine it. What a fun tradition.
