These past few months I have not paid too much attention to our little family blog. I didn't mean to ignore it so much, it just kinda happened. There has been plenty going on in our crazy lives, I just haven't had time to sit down and write about anything. So first off, I would like to apologize to my loyal readers (if there are any of you left!) who have checked back now and again and found the same boring post on here. Well, I promise you I'm going to start updating a lot more often. You know why? Because Santa brought me a brand spankin' new camera for Christmas!!! I know Christmas isn't for another week, but I must have been extra good this year or something. I'm going to need a lot of practice to get the hang of this baby which equals lots more pictures for the blog. It's a win-win situation, right? While Lily was down for a nap this afternoon, I bribed Owen to do a little session with me. (The kid will do almost anything for a bag of fruit snacks.) I haven't written anything about Owen for a little while. He's been a pretty busy little guy. His vocabulary is growing every day and he is getting more and more active all the time (yet another reason that the blog has been put on the back burner!). I am constantly saving him from all the little predicaments that he finds himself in. We found out last week that he is indeed allergic to peanuts. A couple of months ago I fed him his first PB&J. He didn't eat much of it, but he got quite a bit on his face. While I was cleaning him up I noticed that he was covered in hives and within minutes his eye swelled shut. I waited a little while to get him tested because I didn't really want to face the possibility that he was allergic. But, Todd took him in last week, the blood test came back positive, and our doctor has advised us to avoid peanuts at all costs. Of all things to be allergic to, I guess peanuts is really not that bad. I love peanut butter and it is going to be a big adjustment not to have it around him anymore. But, anything that forces me to eat fewer peanut butter M&M's is probably a good thing. Anyway, here's my two favorite shots of my little man from this afternoon...

What a cute little kid! He sure is getting big! I can't believe how fast they grow!
I'm so sorry to hear about the peanut thing though. That's no fun at all.
We feel for ya on the peanut thing, but it's really not that bad once you get used to reading labels and asking what's in home-made treats :) I love the pictures, Owen looks so OLD in them! I'm glad you got your fun camera, I'll have to check it out sometime!!!
Glad to see a new post. Congrats on the new camera that is so exciting!
