Can she just stay little forever?

When Owen was taking a nap this afternoon, I got a little one-on-one time with Lily. That doesn't happen too often, so I decided to get out my camera and do a little photo shoot with her. I am so happy that Lily is finally starting to actually look at the camera when I take her picture! For the past year or so I have been taking a bazillion pictures of the back of her head. Not that the back of her head isn't cute, but the front of it is so much more adorable. We had a lot of fun trying out new poses and different lighting. Lily was even a pretty good sport about letting me pose her. I am beyond thrilled that I might have a willing model to practice with! I ended up taking well over 100 pictures because she was doing such a great job. When we were done, I started downloading them on the computer. Lily sat on my lap as we went through them all. Just looking at them I could not believe my eyes. Where did my little baby go and who is this grown up girl?! I got a little choked up thinking about how fast the time has gone. My little baby is turning three at the end of next month and while I am a little sad to have her grow even bigger, I am also excited about watching her continue to learn and grow. Every day is an adventure with Lily and I am thankful that I get to come along for the ride. I had a tough time choosing, but here are a couple of my favorite pictures of my not-so-little baby...
