It has been a few days since Lily turned one, but I still cannot wrap my mind around the fact that my little baby is one! We celebrated her first birthday on Saturday by having a party with a bunch of our family and friends. Throughout the day, my sister taught Lily to stick her pointer finger up whenever we said "one". It was so adorable to see her face light up and her little finger to shoot up when we asked her how old she was going to be!

At 3:05 in the afternoon I took Lily out to play in the front yard so I could take a few pictures of her at the exact time she was born. I sat there thinking back about how much she has changed, and how much I have changed. I kinda makes me emotional just to think about it!

One thing is for sure, Lily has a sweet tooth! She loved that cake. She sat there for a few seconds and wasn't quite sure what to do with it. But, one Grandpa Hegerhorst put a little frosting in her mouth, she went to town! These pictures are out of order, but there is one down at the bottom that shows just how messy she was!

Dad had to help her open all of her presents. Lily was entertained at first, but we eventually had to give her a little juice to help keep her focused.

There's that messy face!! The day went really well and I think that Lily was happy, that was all that mattered!!

Do I see some curls coming around the side of her face? SO cute! We're sad we missed it, but it looks like she had fun!
Happy 1st Birthday, Lily!
