Elephants on parade...

I had good intentions of posting some pictures from Owen's two birthday parties and the demolition derby we took him to (because nothing says "Happy 2nd Birthday" like a trip to the San Pete country fair demolition derby!). And I still might because I have a couple good stories about that demolition derby.
This morning we were invited by this friend to the Gateway for the elephant parade. Because the circus is in town this week, they had a little parade and marched all the elephants down the middle of the Gateway. They also had clowns, little ponies, and a couple floats. But the highlight of the parade is of course, the elephants. They all marched down the street in a line holding onto each others tails. It was fun to see them so close! After the parade, the kiddos and I had a fun afternoon just hanging around downtown Salt Lake. I forget that there is so much to do there! We ate ice cream by the Gateway fountain, rode Trax, visited Grandma at work, and checked out all of the new construction downtown. It always amazes me that my kiddos can be so crazy at home, but when we are out in public they are little angels. I really think I need to start planning more fun outings!
