Practice Run...
Last night we got a practice run getting to the hospital. Before I went to sleep last night I had a little headache. By the time I got into bed it was a full-blown migraine. I went downstairs so that I wouldn't keep Todd up and about an hour later I started throwing up. I absolutely hate throwing up, but with a migraine it usually makes the pain go away. Not this time! Around three in the morning I was completely miserable, so I came up and asked Todd for a blessing. He gave me one and then I told him to go back to sleep. When I went back downstairs I started reading one of my books about pregnancy and it said that I needed to call my doctor immediatly. So, I woke Todd up again and he called Labor and Delivery. When he told them what was going on, they told us to come in. So, we packed the bags, woke Lily up, took her to Grandma's, and then headed into the hospital. Much to our relief, the migraine was not the result of high blood pressure. So, they gave me a shot of morphine and something to help the nausea. I barely made it home and up the stairs to bed before I was completely out of it. I spent the entire day sleeping! I feel so much better now! Thank goodness for morphine!! And at least now we know that we are ready for when I really do go into labor!
